THE FORGOTTEN CULTURE

During the tour to the blue mansion museum, I saw some old music instruments.
​
I start to think that I totally
forget there are actually an interesting instrument exist but it is getting lesser and lesser people know about erhu except in china.
​
this instrument is called "ERHU二胡".
is a two-stringed bowed musical instrument, more specifically a spike fiddle, which may also be called a Southern Fiddle, and sometimes known in the Western world as the Chinese violin or a Chinese two-stringed fiddle.
erhu is very famous in china but not in other country.
back to 100years ago, erhu is very famous in most of the Chinese town all around the world. due to the technology invented and new instrument invented, the new generation do not interested in this old instrument.

there are a lot of elder Chinese in Penang and other Chinese town at Malaysia know how to play the erhu, but not the youngster.
​
people nows a day will choose violin, cello or string instead of erhu because it look cooler and nicer for them.
​
the culture of erhu is slowly fading and will be disappear in our country in the next generation.
