In The flooring team, I give my knowledge on materials and pricing on the market and try to contact my hardware shop friend for more details on the material we need.

Selection and planning

Flooring materials : i)Vinyl tiles or Epoxy [choose]

                                        ii)vinyl tiles glue

                                       iii)tools like scissor, cutter,                                                               masking tape, player and etc.

In order to have a better quality materials like vinyl tiles to last longer, it will cost more than the normal quality floor mat.

​

Vinyl tiles for the entire place we going will cost around rm2500, a promotion price from my research. I believe it might be a cost issue whereby we got a limited cost and time to install the vinyl tiles.

​

Fortunately, the epoxy flooring is one of the best choice for us. It cost much cheaper compare to the vinyl tiles. It will only cost around rm800 to rm1000 by using epoxy for the entire place. 

​

But honestly, on my opinion I think vinyl tiles is the best choice if we got more fund for this project because the vinyl tile got a lot more advantages compare to the epoxy flooring.

Advantages of vinyl tiles :

1. With texture that prevent slippery

2. Long lasting

3. Water resistance and heat resistance

4. Come with a lot of design choices

5. Easy and very fast to be install

Disadvantage of vinyl tiles :

1. High Cost

Epoxy Flooring

Advantages of epoxy

1. Cheap

2. Easy to apply on flooring

3. non slippery when dry

Disadvantages of epoxy

1. Very slippery if it contact to water

2. Strong smell for few weeks

3. Limited colour and design

4. Drop off easily compare to tiles

5. Need to maintain

The flooring materials had been selected, epoxy flooring.

The colour will be decide once the wall design are confirm and to be discuss with the team members.
